As part of the ‘metamorphosis’ of my ‘individual’ and to demonstrate an awareness and understanding of that person, I work to develop and structure art that chronicles, records and represents my person. Childhood and memory, past and present, objects and archiving, and fact and fiction are all themes that I pursue actively.
My art is an introspective and self-reflective tool to express feelings. However, putting things in boxes or behind glass also creates boundaries and distances the viewer from the subject. By ensuring that my art is logical only to me, I challenge the observer's perceptions and thoughts. In a world that seemingly craves logic, I juxtapose unrelated items to create an alternative reality, one only I can control.
