My recent practice has been strongly influenced by material found on the Internet: pornography, television, advertising, fashion, YouTube and photography; concentrated on the image and sexualisation of the female in such categories. My work stems from a keen interest in sex and sexuality, and the celebration of the female rather than a negative critique on the projection of women as sexual objects - whether or not the work is construed in that way. However, I prefer not to completely deny this idea within my work; instead of exposing it as a negative I rather hope to attest the strength and consistency in power through the sexual.
